God certainly blessed Rejoice Marriage Ministries when He sent Kim our way. In addition to preparing "Charlyne Cares" devotionals on many Mondays, Kim also assists us by replying to some of the email we receive from standers. In addition to her writing skill, Kim has faced and overcome many of the hurdles that other standers are now facing. We asked Kim to share about her stand and her ministry to other standers. "Several years ago, I made the mistake of listening to worldly advice about my marriage and divorced my husband, even though there was this gentle whisper in my ear, "There is a better way. Let Me show you." For a couple years, that voice was there, whispering, calling, preparing my heart. I wasn't at peace and couldn't figure out why. I returned to my home church and there heard that voice once again. This time I heard promises of strength and comfort, grace and mercy, and, most of all, love. I finally let Jesus into my heart, confessed and repented of the sins I had committed in my marriage, and asked Him to come in and straighten out this mess I had made of my life. "Thus began my stand with God for a healed and restored marriage and family. He came in and touched and changed my heart and nothing has been the same for me. It hasn't been an easy road, and I have had to walk some very difficult paths. I am still in the process of becoming what He wants me to be. But the journey has been worth it. I have found strength in my weakness, comfort in my sorrow, peace in the midst of turmoil and, most of all, unconditional love. Jesus has been there for me every step of the way - walking beside me, leading me, picking me up when I stumble and setting me on the road again. And those times when I found that I was too weary to even take another step, He came in and carried me until I was once again strong enough to walk on my own. "Shortly after Jesus came into my heart, I found Rejoice Marriage Ministries. Here were people who had been through what I had, who knew of God's promises for a healed family, who could point me in the direction I needed to go. Not only that, but I discovered there was a whole family of standers all around the world who believed as I did and were praying for their loved ones. I have been blessed to be able to share my writing through this ministry. I have "met" Christians all over the world and been able to share words and comfort with them. It makes me so thankful to be a member of the Body of Christ." "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27.
